Thank you for your extremely valued TIRS contribution as a room parent!
Your involvement not only helps you participate in your child’s Jewish
education, but it plays a vital role in creating a stimulating, special, and
cohesive atmosphere inside the classroom as well as within the TIRS
community.
The purpose of this list is to outline the Room Parent responsibilities and
give you some guidelines regarding expectations.
1) Organize parent participation. Contact parents (via phone or email) if
the classroom needs parent volunteers for class events (such as Chanukah
party), or classroom materials. You will be supplied with a list of class
roster with telephone numbers and email addresses.
2) Organize a Chanukah gift for the teacher(s). Get input from parents (if
needed/desired) and collect funds. Usually a small amount ($5) is
“suggested”, but no parent is required to make a contribution.
3) Identify dates if/when the teacher needs help in the classroom for a
special project. Coordinate with parents to help out.
4) Encourage parents to participate in the PTO by contributing $10. We are
striving for 100% participation in each room! A prize will be awarded to
the classes with 100% participation!
5) Encourage parents to link their VIC cards! (School Code Number 4647)
6) Attend PTO meetings, if at all possible.
Again, thank you for your help. We couldn’t do it without you! If you have
any questions, concerns or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact
